Enhanced Stay-At-Home Protocols
Last updated March 25
In addition to concern for the health and well-being of our members, the NBBA also has a responsibility to the broader community, and wants to contribute to the containment of COVID transmission in Nepean. Due to rising COVID case counts and potential risks posed by the Omicron variant, our TeamSnap Health Check has been updated as follows based on current school screening questions (any “Yes” response will fail the health check):
-
-
- In the last 5 days, have you experienced any of these symptoms?
- Fever or chills, cough, shortness of breath, decrease or loss of taste or smell, muscle aches or joint pain, extreme tiredness, sore throat, runny or stuffy nose, headache, vomiting or diarrhea.
- Select “No” if you have already ended a self-isolation.
- In the last 5 days, have you tested positive for COVID-19?
- Select “No” if you have already ended a self-isolation.
- If you have completed a 5-day self-isolation (for any reason), then for 10 days after your isolation began, wear a mask in all public settings (including school) and avoid activities where you need to take off your mask (for example, removing your mask for sports).
- Are you waiting for a test result?
- Do you live with someone who is waiting for a COVID-19 test result, or is isolating because of symptoms or a positive test?
- Select “No” if you are 18 or older and had a booster shot, you are under 18 and fully vaccinated, or you tested positive in the last 90 days and completed isolation.
-
If you select “No” based on any of these criteria, or you have been identified as a close contact of someone from another household who tested positive or has symptoms, then for 10 days after your last exposure, wear a mask in all public settings (including school) and avoid activities where you need to take off your mask (for example, removing your mask for sports).
- Has a doctor, health care provider, or public health unit told you that you should currently be isolating (staying at home)?
- In the last 14 days, have you travelled outside of Canada and been told to quarantine or not attend school?
- Anyone returning from international travel who is exempt from quarantine must wear a mask in public spaces (including schools) for 14 days after their return.
- In the last 5 days, have you experienced any of these symptoms?

See COVID-19 school screening (Ontario). Anyone who has symptoms, tests positive, or is a high-risk contact must follow all OPH protocols.
