Summer Skills Sessions
The Nepean Blue Devils are pleased to offer a summer evening series of skill sessions focused on developing and refining player's basketball fundamentals skills such as foot work, dribbling, passing and shooting.
Dates (on Thursdays):
July 7, 14, 21 & 28
August 4, 11 & 18
Girls (10-14): 6:00 pm to 7:30 pm
Boys (10-14): 7:30 pm to 9:00 pm
Location: Ottawa Christian School (255 Tartan Drive)
The sessions will be led by Hannah Sunley-Paisley. Hannah played university basketball with the Ottawa University Gee Gees from 2007 to 2012. During her time with the Gee Gees, Hannah was named to the OUA Rookie All-Star team, was named as a Second Team All Canadian on two occasions and was named OUA East Player of the Year. In her final season with the Gee Gees in 2012, Hannah was named Canadian University Player of the year. That year she was a key member of her Gee Gees team that brought the first medal to an Ottawa Women's Basketball program when her team finished third at the Nationals. Hannah played overseas in 2012-2013 with the Artland Dragons in Germany. Hannah has been coaching for several years and has run TID programs for Ontario Basketball and summer camps for the University of Ottawa. She led the region's U16 boys team to a bronze medal at the Ontario Summer Games and was an assistant coach with the Algonquin College's Women's team. She has been coaching a U17 Junior Boys team over the past year.
