Meet Our Board of Directors

Our volunteer Board of Directors provides governance, strategic direction, and oversight for the Nepean Blue Devils Basketball Association. Together with our General Manager, Program Manager, Technical Director, coaches, officials, and volunteers, they help ensure NBBA continues to grow while delivering exceptional basketball experiences for our community.


Jee Leung

President

Provides leadership to the Board of Directors and oversees the strategic direction and governance of the Association. Works closely with management to ensure NBBA remains sustainable, forward-looking, and focused on delivering opportunities for athletes and families.


Cresdelle Zubrycki

Treasurer

Provides oversight of NBBA's financial health, budgeting, and long-term sustainability. Ensures strong financial stewardship while supporting responsible growth and investment in the Association.


Guled Aden

Director, Boys Competitive Basketball

Provides strategic oversight of the Boys Competitive Basketball program, supporting long-term athlete development, coach development, and the continued growth of competitive basketball within NBBA.


Jaimee Kettles

Director, Girls Competitive Basketball

Provides strategic oversight of the Girls Competitive Basketball program while championing the continued growth of opportunities for girls in basketball. Supports athlete development, program growth, and female participation across the Association.


Jason Pickering

Director, Boys House League Basketball

Provides oversight of the Boys House League program, ensuring recreational basketball remains fun, inclusive, and focused on player development while supporting continued participation and growth.


Tony Leon

Director, Girls House League Basketball

Provides oversight of the Girls House League program with a focus on creating positive experiences, increasing participation, and strengthening recreational basketball opportunities for girls.


Alex Habbouche

Director, Youth Basketball

Leads the Board's strategic focus on grassroots basketball and introductory programming. Works to grow participation, introduce more children to the game, and strengthen player pathways into House League and Competitive Basketball.


Manny Clersaint

Director, Basketball Strategy & Excellence

Provides leadership on the Association's long-term basketball philosophy, player development pathways, coaching standards, and organizational excellence. Helps ensure basketball programming aligns with NBBA's vision for the future.


JC Frechette

Director, Sponsorship & Partnerships

Leads sponsorship development and community partnerships that support the long-term sustainability of NBBA. Works to strengthen relationships with local businesses and organizations while growing the Association's presence in the community.


Bob Zubrycki

Director, Volunteer Engagement & Community

Provides leadership in volunteer recruitment, engagement, and recognition while helping foster a welcoming and positive club culture. Supports the volunteers who are essential to delivering exceptional basketball experiences.

Executive Committee Code of Conduct

The Barrhaven Girls Basketball Association was incorporated in 2002 under the Canada Corporations Act and in 2010 became the Nepean Basketball Association, which was continued in 2014 by articles of continuance under the Canada Not-for-profit Corporations Act (NFP Act).

The Executive Committee is the board of directors of the Association, and is answerable to the membership. NBBA directors are required by law to comply with the NFP Act and its regulations, and with the articles of continuance and NBBA by-laws that have been enacted under the NFP Act. Directors are required to exercise a level of care and diligence, and to act honestly, in good faith, and in the best interests of the Association, avoiding conflicts of interest.

Other conduct of the board that is required for effective governance includes

  • steering the NBBA towards its 5-year vision, and guiding strategic planning
  • being transparent, including communications to members and making information available
  • developing appropriate structures
  • maintaining fiscal responsibility
  • ensuring that an effective management team is in place
  • implementing assessment and control systems
  • planning for the succession and diversity of the board

The NBBA is expected to adhere to the OBA Conduct Policy for Member Clubs, and the Executive Committee is guided by the conduct that the OBA requires of its board of directors.
