NBBA summer camps are targeted to girls and boys ages 8-14 (grades 3 to 8), see Club Policies.
In the past, evening camps were held indoors on Tuesday and Thursday nights. In 2020, we were able to secure funding from the provincial government to offer virtual basketball camps free of charge over the summer (see the announcement).
Weekly camps were delivered via video, social media, and printed material, including daily virtual interaction with 4 camp counsellors. A Junior camp was geared to players aged 8-11, and a Senior camp for players aged 12-14. Players could participate in as many sessions as they liked.
With the release of OBA Phase 3 Return to Play Guidelines, we were able to offer an additional option for players to do our summer camp outdoors with the counsellors in daily, weather-dependent 2-hour sessions with safety measures in place. Each session was divided into 4 groups (one per counsellor), rotating through different stations.
