Upcoming Events and Reminders

• Medical Forms
  Please make sure all player medical forms are completed and submitted as soon as possible. This is mandatory before our first official games
• Friendly Scrimmage - Thursday
  We’ll have a friendly scrimmage during our regular practice this Thursday at our usual location. Come ready to compete, communicate, and have fun.
  
• Learning Session - Tuesday, October 14
  Our first learning session will be held at Active Health Institute, Ottawa, 613 Longfields Dr, Unit 103.
  Led by Dr. Stephanie Hemstock and supported by Dr. Vincelli, this free session will help players learn about proper movement, injury prevention, and caring for their bodies like athletes.
  Please bring basketball shoes, comfortable clothes, a notepad and pen, and exercise bands.
• Our first tournament is coming up October 24-26 (OSS Tournament), schedule to be released soon

Game Lab - Session

We’re trying something new this season. Sometimes practice isn’t the best time to explain everything, so we’ll be using short online sessions to go over plays, concepts, and game situations using video and diagrams.

Our Online Game and Film Review will be about 20 minutes long and help players study basketball concepts, improve decision-making, and see the game from a coach’s perspective.

Normally, these sessions will take place on Wednesdays or Sundays.
This week we’ll start on Wednesday, October 8. The meeting link and details will be available in RAMP.
